✨ Meet the Maker: Lauri
I'm a Denver girl at heart, born and raised in Colorado, though life has taken me on quite the adventure. Over the years I've called Virginia and Florida home, following opportunities, new beginnings, and wherever life decided to lead me next.

My career path has never been a straight line—and I wouldn't have it any other way. After moving to Virginia, I attended cosmetology school and spent 13 wonderful years as a hairdresser. I loved helping people feel confident, beautiful, and seen. Later, at 30 years old, I decided to challenge myself again and returned to school, eventually building a career in pharmacy where I've spent more than 20 years helping others navigate their health. Along the way, I even studied respiratory therapy because I've always believed it's never too late to learn something new.
Through every chapter of my life, one thing has remained constant: creating.
I've always loved making things with my hands, but crafting became something much deeper after the loss of my husband of 20 years. During one of the hardest seasons of my life, I found comfort in creating. What started as a way to process grief grew into a passion for macramé, jewelry making, and handcrafted suncatchers.
Everything I know has been self-taught. With patience, curiosity, and plenty of trial and error, I learned how to turn beads, knots, wire, and crystals into pieces that bring beauty and joy into everyday spaces.
Today, every item I create is made with care and intention. I pay attention to the little details because I know those details matter. Whether it's the perfect knot in a macramé piece or the way sunlight dances through a suncatcher, my goal is simple: to create something that makes someone smile.
For me, crafting is more than a hobby. It's healing. It's connection. It's a reminder that even after life's hardest moments, beautiful things can still be created.
And that is a story worth sharing.
